Donations in support of A Blue Farm are crucial to advancing its mission to provide space and support for budding and established artists while further developing programs to expand access to the arts. Donations can be made by individuals, groups, or foundations through the link to the left or by direct contact with A Blue Farm. Below are some concrete ways to contribute in a meaningful way, with new standard tax deduction opportunities for 2026 year.
~
$1,000-$2,000 contributes to scholarship funds, general maintenance and regular care for studio spaces and grounds so that A Blue Farm adequately serves all residents and visitors. We harvest our own clay, we aim to grow our own food, we aim to build with recycled materials existing here on the land. *Starting in 2026, individuals taking the standard tax deduction will be permitted to receive a tax benefit for non-itemized charitable donations up to $1,000 for those filing individually and up to $2,000 for those filing jointly as a married couple.
$5,000 covers ongoing construction and renovation of the site with new builds, new tools, and new spaces. Whether it be landscaping an amphitheater into the hillside, building an outdoor kitchen (hearth, brick oven, outdoor sink) to host and feed large gatherings during workshops and outreach, tether a floating dock to the shore, cultivating a specialized natural dye garden or committing to any other endeavors, donations of this nature are key to not only sustaining the mission but immediately and significantly expanding the farm’s potential to create, educate, and thrive through the practice of art. *If a gift of $5,000 covers more than 50% of the cost of a construction or renovation, a naming opportunity will be provided to the sponsor.
$10,000 supports a resident artist for 6-8 weeks. This covers the artist’s room, board, use of all studios and dedicated equipment, full access to grounds, supplies for their practice, collaboration with/instruction from director and fellow residents. Sponsor would be recognized as a patron and provided early insights into the artist’s work. In addition, the sponsor would be a featured guest at any gallery opening that might result from the residency. Most definitely, the sponsor would be thanked in person or by letter in all earnestness for their personal commitment to the arts by directly and positively impacting an individual artist.
Material Resource Gifts to the space are most welcome, and are not limited to ceramics, glass, textiles or woodwork (though, we are most ready and equipped to receive these!). If you can see it on the farm, it’s likely that I can too, and will want to dedicate time to cultivating new possibilities for students and residents alike. *Fair Market Value for donations over 5,000 must be confirmed by a qualified appraiser.
